Dahnyelle, I saw the question that you left for me on my profile page regarding the development of a website. To answer your question, creating a website can be very expensive or very inexpense. It really depends what you want out of the site. If you just want a fairly basic site, it can be done with low expense. If you want special shopping cart systems, flash graphics etc., you can spend more. I have not personally used a website developer so I am not certain the current rate for hiring a web designer. I suggest you search for "web designers" on the net and ask for some price quotes. If you do not wish to hire a designer, you can try to build the site yourself. When I first started building my website, (ApparelSearch.com), I had bought a software from Microsoft (don't remember what I paid but not too much), and taught myself how to use the program. Developing the site yourself is a good option so that you can always go back and make changes and not have to worry about paying a website designer every time you want to make a little change to your site.

Some hosting companies provide methods for you to build your own site directly from the hosting platform. If you are not familiar with "hosting", you can read at the following page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_hosting_service . You can find free hosting plans but you may want to get a plan that you pay for just so you have better service. You can search for "website hosting" on the internet to find various options and pricing. You can probably find a sufficient hosting plan for around $10. per month. Just keep this fee in mind. In addition to building your site (paying designer or building yourself), you will also have the continued cost of hosting fees. Every site needs to be hosted in same way so that is viewable on the internet.

Dahnyelle, thank you for taking the time to join the Fashion Industry Network. We look forward to hearing from you in the design group or in the forums. By the way, if you do freelance design work, you are welcome to create a free profile at DesignerSearch.com

Please note that this site started last month. It may take some time to fully develop into a resource that will help you with business connections. For now, thanks for joining and we look forward to hearing from you in the future.
