Do you work in the fashion industry?
I would like to work in fashion
About Me ...
I am presently a college instructor at a college. I am making a career change and would like to work as a fashion consultant. I love fashion and helping women look their best. I would be great at teaching fashion seminars and working one on one. I have excellent communication, organizational and sales skills with a fashion sense and lots of charisma.

What is your favorite fashion website? (list the web address, NOT the fashion sites name. If you only list the name, the link to your favorite fashion site will not work...)
You may want to join the FIDM group. I just set that group up last week because one of the professors joined the site. He was very kind and told some students about this fashion network. Maybe you can learn a bit about the school from him.
Thank you for your reply. Good luck with getting your certification. Maybe they have something at FIT or Parsons in New York.
Definately keep me posted after you get things finalized. I will try to post something for you on Apparel Search and the calendar site. Also, maybe we can find some other people that are interested in doing similar seminars. Possibly we could work together to put on an event to include a few seminars at one location (you and other teachers, to create a bigger event). Anyway, just brain storming...
I see from your profile you are from LA. You mention on my page, East Coast. Do you live in LA now, but previously from the East Coast?
Barbara - welcome to the fashion industry network. Good luck with your fashion career change. Do you plan on developing your own fashion consultant and fashion seminar business or did you plan to work for another company? If you develop fashion seminars, I can possibly help you promote the events by listing them on my Apparel Search website and on the Fashion Industry Calendar. Do you already have seminars (or lessen plans) developed regarding fashion?
