Student Work- Keep, Sell, or Discard?

Every semester I have made all of these custom, well crafted, hand made designs. Sadly, I am not a size 4-6, so I can not wear my own work- not even the knits. After all these semesters I find that it is adding up. They're so random- theres a day dress, an exercise three piece sports outfit, a wool jacket, a knitted sweater dress, etc.

When I move to New York in a month, I will be bringing these clothes I can not wear with me. What do women and men in my situation do? Part of me doesn't want to part with them since they were the product of so many sleepless nights, but the other side wants to eliminate anything that is not directly functional to everyday life. The only reason I can think of for keeping them are to show as sewing samples to prove that I know how to sew and that I am receptive to learning more.

Plus, are the art projects a waste of time to bring on the move? I have my art foundation stuff and some fashion illustrations- some of which are nice enough to decorate my future residence. Will anyone bring up anything other than their fashion portfolio?

I use my past student designs for wardrobe styling. I am not a size 6 but the models on many photoshoots and tv shows that I am paid to style are. And the clients think that I stayed up all night sewing it just for them! haha

Never discard any of your work.. keep it until an opportunity arises to either sell it or use as a sample of your work.
