Amazing!
In discussing
Hilary Clinton's wardrobe (at the White House Correspondent's Dinner last Saturday night), she says something I've been thinking ever since
Hilary denied Queen A. Wintour's offer for a Vogue cover:
“Hilary should wear Versace–a dress, not trousers. She doesn’t need to wear trousers to show she’s strong.”
Which is
quite similar to
Anna's thoughts on the matter:
"The notion that a contemporary woman must look mannish in order to be taken seriously as a seeker of power is frankly dismaying."
Preach it, girl! If there were any ladies who live in the public eye that I'd like to see say what I was thinking,
Donatella Versace and
Anna Wintour would
definitely be in my top 3. (My third choice?
Dakota Fanning. How awesome would that be?)
So, following the theme of "dresses can envoke power for women", I've selected a dress and outfit that'll leave you feeling like you could RUN THE WORLD! It's a blank canvas, so don't be afraid to mix in the colors and patterns.
Don't be afraid, ladies! Femininity, class and brains are the two best weapons you can wield.
