Muse is not such an easy word to define. The origin is thought to go all the way back to the mythical Greek God, Zeus.
In the story, his nine daughters individually represented different arts and branches of science from poetry, music, drama to history and astronomy.
Today we use it as an expression of reflective thought. We might muse over a glorious sunset or writing some poetic lines. So, if the word is used in conjunction with some material object, it’s probably going to be some very creative and imaginative interpretation.
