Two sites that I recently discovered made me stop and think long enough to blog about them. Both are geared toward personal styling. Read on...if you dare.

Go Try It On (gotryiton.com) lets you submit photos of an outfit you want to wear, and receive feedback from any and all interested parties. Create an account to have your look reviewed by "the community" and the Go Try It On team, whose credentials are listed on the site.

Can I Wear This (caniwearthis.com) is similar to Go Try It On, but offers feedback from “a professional eye” rather than from a community of interested parties. The Can I Wear This team is composed of "one personal shopper and a duo of interior designers." I think the site is a work in progress … for example, the FAQs page doesn't list any FAQs. :/ Both sites offer instant feedback; Can I Wear This even recommends stores to its users.

I wouldn't say that either site replaces the services of a personal stylist—someone with an educated eye, with whom you can work one on one—but hey, not everybody can afford a personal stylist, right? And nothing beats free!
