Yes I am going there...

Yes I am going there...I have had it up to here (visualize my hand way above my head) with panty lines, bra straps, seeing women's rippling bra through their tops, and women showing EVERYTHING that goes on under your clothes...YUCK!This might be the most important (and personal) convo we will have but it has to be done. The quickest way to ruin your clothes is to ignore your undergarments. Bras and panties are the foundation on which your clothing is established. If your foundation is shaky then your whole outfit is shot. First things first, always wear a smooth bra no matter what type of fabric your top is...save those lacy, see through, or patterned bras for the bedroom. When in doubt your safest bet is to go for a nude smooth bra. Body by Victoria® has some amazing bras now that will fit every shape and size. I love the new ipex wireless bra its great for all fabrics. Check out this web site for more selections and info http://www2.victoriassecret.com/collection/?cgname=OSBRPMWLZZZ&cgnbr=OSBRPMWLZZZ&page=all&nopaging=true&rfnbr=4606 Also, I am in love with the stick on boobies...I can honestly say they changed my life (and I am not being dramatic) they changed the way all my clothes fit. I got mine at Dillards but they are also available in most lingerie departments. Its a great alternative to the dreaded strapless bra and once it is on you do not feel it. Im telling you it is an amazing product. As for the southern region...I can not say it enough...SPANX!!!! Every women needs to own a pair of Spanx! No matter if you are a size 0 or a size 24 you must own at least one pair of body shapers. I wear them almost every day under everything from jeans to sweater dresses. It will take you down about 10 lbs. and you will appear at least one size smaller. Your clothes will fit better and you will never have the dreaded panty line which is the culprit for most wardrobe homicides. There are tons of different brands of body shapers out there. You can find them at Target, Nordstorm, Neimans, Dillards, Victoria Secret, or online. I personally like Spanx because I feel they give the most support and they suck my side fat in the best.I will tell you a quick story that inspired me to touch on this topic. I was at a really posh event last week for an amazing new charity (I totally felt like I was walking into a house on MTV cribs or Gossip Girl). My first thought was OMG what the heck they have a pool in their living room????? Then we sat down and a beautiful lady stood up to talk she was a mix between Naomi Campbell and Iman...she was drop dead gorgeous. I could only assume she came straight in off the runways in Paris. Well, she stood up and she had on this knock out clingy black dress and my eyes went straight to her panty line. It ruined her whole outfit. It was a tragic mistake and one that led me to share this issue with you.***note the names and locations of this incident have been changed to protect the innocent and the fashion victim of this horrible messy crime. To sum it all up for you...next time you get dressed take a moment to evaluate your bras and panties from all angles. The public wants to see your clothes not your thong string!Mikalyn Young
