WWE® Diva and Country Artist Mickie James Taps Little Rock Designer to Design Clothes

Little Rock, AR (February 17, 2010) – World Wrestling Entertainment Women’s Champion Mickie James’s has enlisted Natasha Rawls, owner and chief executive officer of NaJo Creations, L.L.C, to design her clothes for her live country music debut.

On Monday, February 22, James, wearing a NaJo created outfit, will perform her new single “Are You With Me” off her debut album “Angels & Strangers,” at the third annual W.O. Smith Music School ’s Dustin Well’s Gift of Music Concert. The event takes place at Nashville ’s famous Wildhorse Saloon. James will grace the same stage as country music megastars Rascal Flatts, and CMT award winner and “American Idol” alum Kellie Pickler, to name a few.

All proceeds will benefit W.O. Smith Music School , which has been providing 50-cent music lessons to Nashville 's underprivileged children for 25 years. Thousands are expected to attend this sold out event. Before reporters ask James their red carpet question, “What are you wearing?” the answer is being provided. NaJo.

Rawls, a self-taught fashion designer, born and raised in Little Rock , is quickly becoming highly sought after. NaJo, affectionately named from combining the names of Rawls’s sons Nathan Long, 13, and Jordan Long, 12, has been the featured line on runways across the southeast region and worn by celebrities. Last summer, NaJo was honored as “Little Rock Fashion Week 2009 Clothing Line of the Year.”

“I’m very excited about this great opportunity to work with Mickie James. It’s a fashion designer’s dream to work with a celebrity of Mickie’s caliber. I am honored she likes my work and chose to wear NaJo for her live debut at a charity event that’s for a good cause,” says Rawls, enthusiastically. “The inspiration of her outfit is country mixed with contemporary fashion. It’s a look that her WWE fans and country music audience will appreciate.”

Rawls will also design James’s outfit for the annual WWE Hall of Fame, which takes place at Phoenix ’s Dodge Theater on March 27 - the eve of WrestleMania XXVI.

“Natasha and her representative approached me with the idea and once I saw the sketches I knew she and I could rock it together,” describes Mickie. “The cool thing is…When you have a designer working with you, you never have to worry about someone wearing the same thing.”

A WWE fan favorite for her girl next door appeal, personality, and elite wrestling ability, James is a 5-time WWE Women’s Champion and former WWE Divas Champion. “Are You With Me” was released on February 16 to country music radio stations. The full album, “Strangers & Angels” is set to be released March 23.
