Wiener will wear blue-orange reflective uniforms

After 25 years of red-blue, the Viennese professional returnees will be traveling in blue-orange operational safety uniforms. In a first order uniforms worth about 400,000 Euros were purchased. Now, the new model is to be changed continuously. The blue and orange garnishes were presented on Monday by health town councilor Sandra and the life coach Rainer.

150 of the 780 emergency service personnel now received the new model. The new application conforms to the EU standard for high-visibility warning clothing in order to provide maximum protection during operation.

Rescue trips every three minutes

"The employees of the salvation rescue cannot choose the places of employment. They have to be at all times where people are in medical distress," said Gruenberg. Every three minutes, a vehicle is released, and there are some 175,000 trips a year.

"For us, the material load ability and wearing comfort in the emergency service were decisive," stressed Gottwaldov. The new model consists of an outer jacket with a detachable soft-shell inner jacket and matching pants. Depending on the temperature one or two layers of the upper part can be worn. Due to the use of high-quality materials, the outer jacket is breathable and at the same times also a rain and warning jacket by reflective material.
