Yesterday, Hadid stepped out in a Jean Paul Gaultier T-shirt with a tabloid-newspaper print. Hadid paired the iconic shirt with classic button-fly Levi 501s, a beige sweater tied around her shoulders, red Adam Selman Le Specs sunglasses, and a double-stranded pearl choker. She grounded the casual outfit with slick black aluminum heel cowboy boots by the label For a Memory of a Lifetime.
Gaultier has been resurfacing among celebrities recently. The Kardashian-Jenner clan have all paid homage to the designer’s tight and sheer print pieces: Both Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner have worn the same earthy Venus de Milo top, while Kim Kardashian West has long been sporting vintage body-hugging JPG. But Hadid’s chic gossip rag tee is a more tongue-in-cheek and self-aware choice. Consider it a knowing nod to her recurring appearance in the tabloids, even down to what’s on her reading list. In other words, there is no better way to say “look at me!” than “read all about it!”
