White — Downie

Stephanie Lynn White of Kinston and Dustin Aaron Downie of La Grange were united in marriage at 6 p.m. October 3, 2015, at Yankee Hall Plantation in Greenville. The Rev. Chris Jenkins was the officiating minister.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of Franklin P. White and Wanda Craft White of Kinston. She is the granddaughter of Geneva White of Kinston and the late Franklin P. White II, and John Earl Craft and Lucille T. Craft of Hugo.

A graduate of NLHS, she is a Financial Service Representative at State Employees’ Credit Union in Kinston.

The groom is the son of Dwight Aaron Downie and Kimberly Josephine Downie of La Grange. He is the grandson of the late Midori Downie of Havelock, and the late Robert Downie of Timonium, Md.; Josephine Richey who lives in Newport; and the late Ollen Richey.

A graduate of East Carolina University, he is a Financial Adviser with First Command.

Following a wedding trip to Blowing Rock, North Carolina, the couple resides in La Grange.

The bride wore an elegantly crafted gown with allover lace, featuring a deep V neckline, soft straps and an empire waist. The trumpet silhouette flowed into a Chapel length train. Her fingertip veil was accented with crystal beading and pearls along the edge. She carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas, Campanella peach roses, white freesia, silver greenery, cream roses and white anemones hand tied in satin ribbon.

Matron of honor was April Braswell Lee of Hugo.

Bridesmaids included the bride’s cousin, Leigh Page of Wilson; Leigh Turnage of Kinston; and the groom’s sister, Kylie Downie of La Grange.

Patrick Sasser served as the groom’s best man.

Groomsmen were Tyler Pate of Raleigh; Justin Bickett of Charlotte; Benjamin Puckett of Stuart, Va.; and the bride’s brother, Derick White of Kinston.

Wedding music was provided by the music coordinator/director at Yankee Hall Plantation.
