What is your style or how would you describe your fashion sense? I was recently asked this question and after answering “classic” and then thinking about it for a bit, it angered me. For I am petite and I really have no choice but to have a wardrobe of “classic” apparel because there is not a lot a variety of clothing that is made in my size. It seems that it is really just the basics that are available to me so that is what I tend to stick with them out of necessity. In fact, trying to be stylish and fashionable is a really frustrating and futile task for me. Even the “petite sizes” that are produced are generally pretty plain and…here I go again, BASIC. Should I be relieved that I never have an opportunity to go out on a limb and actually be really “fashionable” wearing the latest trend? Wearing “classic” styles is always a safe bet. I also save money by simply not being able to shop like crazy and stay up with the latest styles. Or should I be disappointed that I am missing out on this special way of being unique?

Don't give up, my sister has the same trouble, and I personally have to shorten all of my pants! Try embellishing your plain, classic pieces. I'll go to Anthropologie or thrift stores and buy pieces that I know I can enhance. I do agree with you, it seems like the petite sections of stores are pretty boring! Also another option is accessories. Try www.navare.etsy.com for one-of-a-kind jewelry that no one else will have. I've tried wearing the same outfit 2x in one week, just switching out my jewelry and shoes, and my coworkers did not realize it. So you don't have to miss out on unique fashion...I think a lot of us are going more basic in this economy, and just focusing on interesting accessories.

I agree with Sarah...even with 2 pieces of clothing ,one can create different looks..!! the idea is to mix and combine with different accessories and shoes and bags...depending upon the time of the day...and Voila we have a whole new look...!! the good part with accessories is that there is no size problem with them...!!
