The Venice Film Festival is an 11 day event from August 29th -September 8th where you can spot Hollywood's A List stars wearing top designs. Kate Hudson, Salma Hayek, Blake Lively, Zac Efron, Winona Ryder and much much more came out wearing Dolce & Gabbana, Christian Louboutin, Miu Miu, Gucci, Atelier Versace and Marchesa.
The aim of the Festival is to raise awareness and promote all the various aspects of international cinema in all its forms: as art, entertainment and as an industry, in a spirit of freedom and tolerance. The Festival includes retrospectives and homages to major figures as a contribution towards raising awareness of the history of cinema.
Highlights in this year's diary include the premiere of Terrence Malick's To the Wonder and Paul Thomas Anderson's much-anticipated The Master, while Miu Miu showed its latest short film on day one. The fashion house will premiere the fourth installment of its Women's Tales film series. Entitled It's Getting Late, the short story follows four women as they prepare for a night out in Hollywood. Miu Miu collaborated with Venice Days, an organisation which promotes avant garde cinema. Each of the films' directors - all young females from around the world - will also take part in a live Q&A session during the festival.
