Now that Fashion Week is almost over, we don’t want you to forget that there’s another big show coming up next month. Our Behind The Seams event, which will bring a wide selection of fashion biz insiders to discuss in the ins and outs of the industry, is sneaking up on us. For our first ever forum, we were able to snag designer Michelle Smith for Milly to speak on our “Ready To Launch Your Own Line” panel. Just to prove she's got the goods to teach you how to do it for yourself, we took a
look at Ms. Smith's Spring/Summer 2011 runway show.

Offering up 45 looks just yesterday, Smith used her signature bold prints with a tribal twist. Models rocked turbans and long, flowy maxis for a more world traveler. A selection of more tailored pencil skirts and sheaths in retro florals in sherbet hues also impressed. As always, the key to this collection was all about mixing unexpected patterns and colors. The line had a very youthful feel with a touch of a jet-setting lifestyle, enough to inspire the Upper East Side socialites to make a trip across the world, or maybe just stop into the nearest Saks.
