At my boutique called Doubletake the other day a lady came in with several fabulous vintage luxury items to consign with me and one piece was a stunning Ungaro piece and I had to tell her my story.  Yes I know I’ve told this story to you before but its one that I love to chat up.  Back in the late 80′s I was living in Houston and Ungaro came to town doing a trunk show so me being me decided to figure out just which hotel he would stay in.  That took about 2 seconds to realize if I were Ungaro I would stay at The Ritz and sure enough he was.  I phoned and they put me right through to his room where he answered the phone.  I told him I was a fan of his work and welcomed him to Houston, he thanked me and kept it brief.  I just loving retelling that story because back in the 80′s Ungaro was huge not like it is today where it seems to be continually on shaky grounds which is sad.  That never stops me from salvaging Ungaro when I see it at the thrift store that’s for sure and this top trimmed in velvet was no exception.  It’s rich and luscious which is just how I like it over ice!  Now finding this black layered skirt by Rickie Freeman for Teri Jon is a nice and classy touch.  Teri Jon is sold at Neiman Marcus & Saks.  I love a layered skirt any day of the week and oh yes the consignor loved hearing my Ungaro story…..  Be STYISH go green.   Daniel your luxury curator!
