“For the past 12 years, I’ve spent my career on runways and fashion sets across the globe. In that time I worked with the best beauty artists and experts. I loved sitting in the make-up chair and absorbed so many valuable tips and tricks, it was the best beauty school I could ever imagine,” says former Victoria’s Secret model and now co-founder of Wander Beauty, Lindsay Ellingson.
After meeting her co-founder, Divya Gugnani, who Ellingson describes as a “serial entrepreneur”, the pair decided to launch Wander Beauty, the travel-friendly, cruelty-free, multitasking line that suited their lifestyles and a range of skincare and make-up they hoped would suit other women too.
Now stocked in Sephora Australia, Wander Beauty is designed to make your life on the go simple and mess free says Ellingson.
“My oversized luggage was filled with messy powders, liquids and glass bottles. I remember arriving in Milan for fashion week and finding my favorite pair of heels ruined by a spilled jar of face oil,” says the model of her travelling mistakes. “All of our products are ‘colour to be carried,’ no loose caps, broken glass, messy powders, or spilled liquid. All of our products are travel friendly and go double duty,” the model shares.
Spilled oils aside, it is common knowledge models are the best suitcase packers on earth, their busy schedules demand they be ready to jet off at all times and ready for anything, so how and what does Ellingson pack?
“No matter what my destination, I’ve learned how to expertly carry on my luggage without sacrificing my skincare or beauty routine,” the model tells us, adding, “All of Wander Beauty’s products are TSA friendly and most are in stick form so they don’t need to be included in quart size bags which saves room for skincare products. “One of my favorite products is our Glow Getter Mist, enriched with glacier water from Iceland, the purest form of water on earth so it’s rich in minerals which helps to calm and soothe skin.” Likewise, the brand’s Beach Balm counts prickly pear, known for its innate ability to retain moisture, as one of its ingredients while the Exquisite Eye Liquid Eyeshadows "are like a cooling eye serum” says Ellingson thanks in most part to the green tea and aloe extracts which provide powerful antioxidant protection for the delicate skin.
