Guests to the Ball will be whisked down the red carpet and swept into the thrill of Manhattan, featuring the excitement of the New York fashion scene, authentic cuisine and eclectic entertainment. National and local artists will create art mannequins inspired by this year’s theme. Area clothing retailers will design mannequins to display the latest in fashion trends. Big Band music and dancing will follow the Puppini Sisters’ performance. Presented by Raleigh Metro Magazine with proceeds going to the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University and the Raleigh Fine Arts Society. November 22, 2008, at the new Raleigh Convention Center in downtown Raleigh. Featuring the fabulous “retro-glam” Puppini Sisters (www.thepuppinisisters.com).
