‘Sex and the city’ was probably the first movie that changed the definition of Hijab and Burkha for Muslim women. Hijabs have always been associated with a regressive tone due to its alliance with the religion. In today's time, it is highly unlikely to have a race of women who are held back with an unavoidable traditional clause.

Burkha and Hijab Fashion have now taken a fresh turn with women choosing to wear stylish burkhas and varied Hijab Style. Being a fashionista is not just about being fashionable but bring in accordance with the season and its latest trends. Since summer is here, it is essential for all fashion conscious people to be comfortable and following the summer-appropriate accessories.

Cotton is the material of the season and is easily adapted into various styles and garments. The same should be applicable for the women who bear the heat of the season from inside of Hijabs. The material gets quite important as chiffon and silk will easily stick to the skin and will increase the warmth level of the body by not allowing to breathe.

Here are a few ways in which a Cotton Hijab can add to your style quotient:

1# Cotton Hijabs with a pop of color

Hijabs are generally made of subtle colors or dark blacks and maroons. This does not have to be the case always. Neon bright colors with pastel shades are a fantastic combination for women of a younger age. The more matured ladies could do the same but with combinations of dark colors and white. The neons do not just bring intensity to the look but also act as heat reflectors if you are someone who has outdoor activities.  The colors bring out the fun part in the oh-so-traditional Hijabs!

2# Embroidered Hijabs

Embroidery and Hijab are probably two words that are never used in the same sentence! The radical designer hijabs are now having quite the spotlight with not just beautiful designs but also equally high price points. Some women prefer lighter work done on both side and others like a complete heavy look with intricate designs all over the hijab. In case you are just a beginner, try with something smaller and simpler and then delve into the heavy work once you know what your choices are.

3# The Contemporary Hijab

This one might sound a little off to quite a few traditionalists, but it is an essential change for today's new hijab wearing community. Ok, so now imagine you are upset about having to always wear a hijab but now have the liberty to inculcate your favorite mythical/fictional character into it!

It is not easy having to live in a world of 'judgments' sell faster than hot cakes. Hence, styling it up with the little things we have is the best way to go. This article has hopefully helped all the women wearing burkha and Cotton Hijabs out there.
