The Skinny Jean

Nine out of ten times a trend will be passe. It'll come and go as quickly as a display in the window of a store, lasting, if it's lucky, one strong season. Eventually, that so yesterday trend will be retired, boxed away in the back of a closet, just as the next season's models strut down the runway inspiring a new season's latest and greatest. Not all trends are doomed to the back of a closet. Some trends withstand the test of time, evolving into a staple piece that we can't seem to separate ourselves from. For some inexplicable reason, the skinny jean has managed to escape its fate as a single season trend and stand strong, keeping up with the trends of today. Skinny jeans have been popular for some time now, (since 2005?), and they happen to be a favorite fashion trend of mine. Super slim and super sexy, skinnies are being seen in a variety of lengths, in an array of great washes, intense color hues, and lively patterns and prints. Made from materials with a lot of stretch and give, skinny jeans are very flattering to women of all sizes when balanced with the right top, a stylish blazer, and a sexy pair of shoes.
