     Okay! So I'm a day late on my blog entry...I commited to doing this blog so I'll do better..lol :)....So in the last week I have been preparing for this fashion show...boy, boy,boy its alot of work!As I would put it doing my fashion homework so I know what I'm talking about. I've been watching alot of fashon programs such as "All On The Line" with Joe Zee, "Valentino The Last Emporer", and pulling out those fashion study books and notes....I would hate to get up there and not know what I'm talking about..lol....that would just be disgrace to the Fashion World!!! Seriously. I've also been designing other options and using the knowledge i've obtained  and putting it to work!

    As for my emotions I've learned that you HAVE TO BELIEVE IN YOUR DESIGN AND IN YOUR WORK! because if you don't believe in your pieces no one else So I'm convinced at this point that I can pull this off. January is very critical for me because this will confirm weather or not I'm up to the challenge!! At this point, I've gotten myself into this so to me its too late..lol And YES I CAN DO THIS!! Nextweek it will be off to Mary Jo's to start making decisions on fabric and stocking on some Muslin, Muslin, Muslin!!! I was sitting here thinking, on the show All On The Line, they had less than 3weeks to put a 6piece collection together for buyers so I shouldn't have any problems with maintaining the number of pieces I plan to do.....As much as I probably sound put together, I'm all over the place!!!...lol.....time to start finalizing and believing the pieces I choose are my best pieces!!! As for now, its back tomy grind people!!! as for my signature... Have fun, LOOK FABULOUS!-

    Happy New Year to all my fellow readers!!! I hope everyone's new years was as blessed as mine! I decided instead of going out, to go to church and bring in the new year with the Lord! I have a positive outlook of whats to come for 2012 for everyone!!!

    Since my last post, I have finished the rough draft of look one (I wish I could post some picks for visual). I wish I could fit it on someone right now but at the last minute I had who was to be my fit model back out on me so now I'm at square 1....AGAIN!!!! I just wanna scream!!!! And of course I knew this wouldn't be an easy task but gosh darn not already!!! my goodness!!!  So now I have to call an immediate casting call which has been set for January 22, 2012. I've decided upon sizes 8-10 that way I can wear my own clothes..lol. I really didn't want to use someone I didn't know as my fit model but I guess I have no choice.. :(! I was affraid that them not knowing me personally would put me in jeopardy of them making negative comments about my clothing before they even hit the runway! Though I am confident in my looks, it just seemed more easier for for me to take criticism from someone who knows me personally and knows my design aesthetics. But this is surely a bridge that I will have to cross and I'm sure I will get through it. I had something personal happen to me in the last few days which I won't go into detail about but I will say I've learned that as much as you want to hold on to dear life to one's approval, or receiving their approval,sometimes it may be the fashion gods (lol...my own inside thing) way of saying its time to grow your wings and fly on your own. We can only receive  as much help as one can give. Its been time for me to grow on my own as a designer!!! I love all, respect and appreciate what anyone has done to help bring my vision to life but its time for me to make some mistakes and learn from them. I just pray I take what I've learned and apply it with caution!!!
