The fashion industry in India is going digital, this year the phygital show gave the fashion industry updates on the trends that would be worn to add style and grace.  The fashion show surely set some amazing latest fashion for women and latest fashion for men. From experimental fashion to traditional wear, the fashion week showcased it all for the Indian wearers. Some fashion trends set on the ramp this month are as follows-

  1. The Tie & Dye Trend

The indigenous technique of tie and dye aced the looks at the show. The fashion industry in India has time and again exhibited tie and dye techniques in their collections. This year, tie and dye came with an experimental and futuristic view. Designer Akshat Bansal gracefully showcased experimental fashion through his collection. The models walked confidently in gender-fluid garments infused with Tie and Dye. The pants and bralettes in white and black hues got a fresh perspective on the fashion industry in India.  

  1. Exaggerated Sleeves

From puffed sleeves to ruffles and tassels, the sleeves in the fashion week got a larger-than-life look. Designers like Gauri and Nainika, Suneet Varma, Nidhi Yasha, and Pankaj & Nidhi revived the exaggerated sleeves fashion as the latest fashion for women this season. Fashion designer Ruchika Mehta too gave great details and attention to the sleeves of the outfits showcased. The latest fashion updates surely point towards puffed and ruffled sleeves as fashion trends in 2021.

  1. The Floral Fashion

Floral and nature-inspired prints are the fashion trends of 2021, but this fashion week floral took to another level, be it the haute couture by Suneet Varma, or the fluid and flowy outfits by Gauri and Nainika, floral patterns were everywhere. The beautiful floral print dresses and the amazing floral composition by fashion designer Payal Pratap raised the beauty of the outfits in the fashion week.

Another fashion trend that took to the front this week was geometric patterns. The latest fashion for men and the latest fashion for women both had glimpses of geometric patterns.

The single color outfit just doesn’t seem to stop acing the fashion game, designer Manish Malhotra beautifully showcased monochrome fashion at his show in the FDCI X Lakme Fashion Week. The hues of gold and silver defining the whole outfit gave a surreal look to fashion.
