Recently, I was awarded the opportunity to attend one of the most artistically creative fashion events in the DC area – Lies, Secrets, and Rumors presented by Models Inc.

Models Inc. was founded in 2006 in our nation’s capital by CEO Iran “Bang” Paylor and Aaron Handy. Models Inc. prides themselves on standards that are continuously raised to cultivate with today’s ever thriving fashion industry. They work hard to enhance and build upon the individual skills of their members, on and off the runway. Their aim is to utilize the talents of today’s youth to give back to the community. Fundraisers, performances, runway shows, and fashion extravaganzas are a few examples of their contribution to aid in the upkeep of the DC Metropolitan Area. Models Inc. is a place where models can grow and learn from others, in areas such as runway, print modeling, editorial modeling, dance, an array of other artistic expression.

The show took place at the Cultural Arts Center in Silver Spring Maryland and featured several local designers from the east coast as well as Russian designer "Jenkas Fashion" one of the opening talents of the event. Filled with vibrant color and stunning theatrics this production was certainly an affair you’d have to experience for yourself in order to truly appreciate. Based on popular films such as "300" "The Matrix" and "School Daze" each scene was a climatic performance that grasped your attention with every runway strut, pivot, and musical tune. The ladies walked with such grace and style in "Corjor International" and the gentlemen of Models Inc. were surely dapper in "Kinetic Styles" designs. The stage was filled with an myriad of talent far beyond just modeling. Model Inc members performed and complimented their art with dance and theater in a range of ages, some even as young as six.

If you have yet to attend a Models Inc performance or event, I suggest you indulge. The show was absolutely immaculate, a reflection of true talent and an abundance of hard work and dedication.
