With the Wedding season still around us, the year 2009 brings a new addition to the already many new trends:the capelet.
Made and constructed in so many ways:knitted, sewn, repurposed vintage, upcycle, crocheted, painted, handmade.
Just to mention a few possibilities.
For dressing up,for dressing down. For Weddings and lunchs. Fod Brunch. Cute and Versatile.Fresh and antique.
For the Hamptons and for Florida golfing.
The Capelet ~ Shoulder Wrap is part of Collection of designs using Repurposed Vintage. It makes a wonderful addition to any outfit.Wear it on a dress, tank or straples corset.
Constructed on a base of a beige nylon skirt and added Vintage cotton double floral lace in cream. This beautiful lace has a lot of work done in the center holed lace with two sides of flowers and ruffles.I purchased this dreamy lace at estate auction. This Capelet is sweet and sexy,it has enough to cover your Shoulders,to wear off the shoulder or one shoulder only. Like someone said "shoulders are the most sexy part of a woman's body".I think it will look beautiful dressed up~ perfect for a wedding or party or just for a nice daytime go out.
This Capelet is a One~Of~A~Kind item, that will never be duplicated
I created and included a removable pin made of a vintage round brooch of many crystals on a printed hummingbird on blossoming flowers, all handpainted by me,and two fabric chartreuse butterflies. Everything is handsewn, handpainted and handmade.
