Just because you are pregnant, doesn’t mean that you have to forget all about fashion. Expecting mothers despite having an enlarged belly and increasing weight, can still look attractive and feel good about their bodies – and there are many ways to do it.

Show of your tummy

There is no need of covering yourself in unflattering clothes that is too big for you. Big clothes doesn’t cover your bump, it covers all of you, and makes you look fat, and not pregnant. And you don’t want that, don’t you? Don’t be afraid to accentuate your stomach when you’re five-six months pregnant. Embrace your pregnancy curves, and buy clothes that fit well on your body.  You don’t have to hold back from form-fitting T-shirts and tops, but make sure they are long enough to cover your stomach to the bottom.

Be yourself

Stay true to the fashion style you had before you got pregnant, and try to incorporate that style to your maternity clothes. Wear outfits that will make you feel feminine and attractive every day. Don’t buy something just because you heard it looks good on pregnant women, wear what you love, do not lose yourself in the process.

Pregnant ladies best friends

Pregnant woman has two best friends: leggings and maternity jeans. Leggings are perfect when you are an expecting mother, not only because they look smoking hot, but also they are comfortable enough to make every future mother happy. They also go well with shirts and tunics. Pregnant mothers should have at least two maternity jeans preferably with waistbands. Jeans with waistbands are both flattering and stylish. You can pair up any stylish top with the jeans and look trendy.

Dress a dress

Try putting wrap-around style to reveal your gorgeous baby bump. An empire waist dress is also a great way to flatter your body during pregnancy. The flowing fabric of empire waist provides room for the growing belly without feeling discomfort.  Wrap-around style dress, and an empire waist dress are both flattering options that don’t leave you looking shapeless and boring. Furthermore, you might even be able to keep wearing these dresses after the baby is born.

Comfy but stylish

If there is one thing women can’t do without, it is a pair (or two, or three… or a thousand) of knock out shoes. Nobody expects of you to put on dizzyingly high heels, but you can still rock out a pair of fabulous flats, flat ankle boots or drop dead beautiful flat strappy sandals.

Add a little color

Don’t be afraid to add colors to our outfit. You shouldn’t be wearing only dark shades because you think it makes you look slimmer. Color actually really flatters your body, especially if you have interesting details around your stomach.  You can also have fun with printed outfits.  If you don’t like a pop of color on your clothes, you can accessorize with chunky necklace, colorful bracelets and a big statement bag.

Remember, clothes are only there to make you feel comfortable and beautiful. You choose the outfit. The outfit doesn’t choose you. You are not a slave to a certain style just because you’re pregnant. Be yourself. Be stylish. Be stunning.
