The weather is finally getting warmer. That means that it's time for a wardrobe revamp. One of the most fun items to buy is swimsuits. You can experiment with all sorts of fun colors and styles that are much brighter than in other seasons. Maybe you can challenge yourself to try a new pattern or cut this year.

Swim Dresses

The great thing about a swim dress is that it doesn't have to be tight. It truly depends on the brand and its sizing. There are some swim dresses that hug the figure while others just skim over areas that you might be self conscious about. You can get them in halter neck versions or with traditional shoulder straps. A halter neck might be a good choice for people who want to go swimming without feeling like they have to adjust the straps too often.

Bikinis

A bikini is one of the most common swimsuit styles. It looks like a bra and underwear set. The bra part of the bikini can be unlined or have lining that provides added coverage. The lower part of the bikini can be cut to expose as much or as little of your bottom as you want. Bikinis are definitely the most daring swimsuit option for this reason. You will end up showing a lot of skin no matter what option you choose. A site like dosgardenias.com/ can help you filter by coverage.

Rash Guards

Rash guards are commonly worn by surfers. They look like a long sleeved t-shirt. Sometimes rash guards are made out of sunscreen fabric to prevent burns. The best part about this option is that you can pick what kind of bottoms you want with it. Surfers sometimes wear swim trunks with them. If you're not as sporty or don't prefer to wear swim trunks you can wear briefs or bikini bottoms instead.

One Pieces

This type of swimsuit covers the entire chest, torso, and bottom in the one piece of fabric that gives them their name. Even though they are a single piece of fabric it is still possible to add a few fun details. Some one pieces have strategic cutouts at the sides. They might dip low in the back to be ever-so-slightly more revealing. One pieces allow you to go all out with a fabric or pattern that you really love because there is more space to play with.

There is so much advertising about "swimsuit season" and that can add pressure about buying or avoiding swimsuits based on how you look. Ignore those messages. What is most important is to wear clothing that you feel amazing in. That makes "swimsuit season" something to enjoy instead of dread.
