Spring/Summer 2011 Trends: Headscarves

8842892076?profile=originalThat's So New YorkAccessories play an essential role within our wardrobe and those who choose to skip them when throwing together an outfit miss out on one of, if not the most fascinating part of styling. One of my favorite highlighted accessories for Spring/Summer 2011 is the headscarf, an accessory which provides us with the perfect way to combine vintage and chic in a fabulous way. Headscarves have previously been  used in a practical way, primarily to protect our fashionable heads from the sun, yet this year many designers suggest it brings a feminine touch to almost any outfit. There is absolutely no right or wrong way in how to wear a headscarf correctly. Use your own creativity and fantasy to create the most unique and the most impressive alternative styling technique! Play around with different colors, prints and designs in order to achieve the effect you want each of your outfits to have. Choose the best way according to your taste and character. Headscarves allows you to experiment and offers no restriction, a perfect example of what many of us may consider to be 'true fashion'.

For those of you who may have a little more cash to splash, Many designers including: Vivienne WestwoodMoschinoEmillio Pucci and Armani have used this high-trend accessory as a considerable part of their Spring/Summer 2011 collections. Furthermore, fashionistas such as: Alexa ChungMary-Kate OlsenNicole Richie, and Katie Holmes who have altered and personalized this trend, using the headscarf as a key-item within their wardrobe will encourage you to leave the old, boring look behind and begin a new fashionable journey, one with massive amounts of attitude and glamour!
