The Spring/Summer 2012 fashion weeks have come to an end and the prominent shade that shined from the catwalks was… bright white! The colour blocking trend is still going to be HUGE – New York Fashion Week boasted a bevy of brights, but if you’ve overdone the colour blocking a touch this year (ahem) the all over white trend will be a striking alternative for next summer. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be the first to pull out my neon pink jeans for another season, but if I’m not feeling colourful I’ll defo be channelling total white out. Plus if you can’t resist a splash of colour (I’m really talking to myself here, I’ve yet to meet anyone who is as obsessed by the colour block trend as me) then neon accessories will look super fresh and arresting against white.
Spring/Summer 2012 delivered white in various fabulous forms; from minimalistic, fresh and sporty, to pure, innocent and ethereal – you name it the shade stepped out in every style imaginable. The most popular however was the white maxi dress – guaranteed to be a key summer 2012 piece and is something I will be investing next year, as soon as the sun comes out to play!
