SKY, the biggest teen movement in Botswana, recently held an epic spring fashion show, titled TrueBeauty Fashion Show.

The show was staged over the weekend at Limkokwing University of Technology where fashion fanatics thronged the hall.

SKY is a movement of girls, by girls, and as such, the models for the show were SKY girls who have taken the Pledge to be true to themselves.

SKY ran a competition calling for girls to submit short pieces about what true beauty means to them.

The best entrants auditioned, and 15 girls were chosen as models.

The fashion show featured the work of Botswana’s most talented designers in Kaone Moremong, Theo Khumalo, Namie Mos, Sino Ragontse, Aobakwe Molosiwa and Mothusi Lesolle who all showcased their work.

SKY girls came in their numbers, cheering when they saw their favourite designs, and when their friends took to the catwalk.

The fashion show was a celebration of the girls’ passion for fashion, music and friends, and their acknowledgement of the things that they said they could do without.

The biggest thing the girls said they could do without was smoking.

SKY also unveiled a new, exciting dimension to the movement that was inspired by girls all over Botswana.

They unveiled a t-shirt line with three smoke- free logos that represent their top ‘shapo’ and that they are proud to be smoke free.

SKY girls who have taken the Pledge will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite logo which will be carried forward as the ‘SKY Smoke- Free’ design for girls to wear with pride.

There were also stalls where local designers got the opportunity to exhibit and sell their work.

The SKY TrueBeauty fashion show also featured some of Botswana’s leading musicians such as DJ Cupid spun the decks, Vee, Samantha Mogwe, Zeus plus new RnB sensation Elté.

There was also a surprise performance by hip hop sensation, Chubb Height.

The show was MC’ed by Zizi Panther and Melo, with showstopper appearances by Flavadome’s Sadi Dikgaka, as well as current and past Miss Botswana beauty queens, Rosemary Keofitlhetse and Sumaiya Marope.

SKY aims to support girls as they strive to be true to themselves.

It aims to help them make choices about things that matter to them and stay true to them.

Together, these platforms provide a space for girls to express themselves and share thoughts, ideas and experiences.

By interacting with each other, SKY girls will be able to make more informed choices about their everyday lives.

SKY is brought to the girls by a group of people and organisations who believe in them and their future. Also read here:prom dress shops in manchester
