Savages Performs at the Alexander McQueen Party

The “Savage Beauty” exhibition may have closed in London, but Paris’ concert space Divan du Monde on Sunday night was the venue of another Alexander McQueen-Savages event. The post-punk band performed at the after party cohosted by the house and Another Magazine.

McQueen recently opened its first Paris flagship on Rue Saint-Honoré. “I love the Paris shop. It is a beautiful shop. I am very proud,” said Sarah Burton, fresh from the house’s show, where she sent out a collection inspired by fairytale heroines.

Aymeline Valade, Anna Cleveland, Lindsey Wixson, Edie Campbell and Suki Waterhouse were among the fairies appearing at the concert.

“Life is momentous,” said Cleveland, while enjoying the music. She added her mother, Pat Cleveland, didn’t make it to the Paris shows, since she is writing an autobiography to be published by Simon & Schuster in June.

Valade said she’s to walk a few more runways this season, including Hermès.

So what’s her secret to being able to dance until the wee hours of the morning? “Naps between the shows. I fall asleep very easily,” she divulged.

Harley Viera Newton, The Misshapes duo and André Saraiva also took in the concert.

Saraiva said he’s prepping for the opening of his second Hôtel Amour, named Le Grand Amour. “It’s bigger — 42 rooms. There’s a restaurant, aquarium, sauna,” he explained.

Arca spun tunes later in the night. The Venezuelan DJ and producer, who worked with Björk, fronts the cover of Another Man’s fall issue.
