Ronnie Mitchell to DIE on her wedding day?

As we reported recently, it seems EastEnders bosses have ordered the filming of “multiple endings” for the exit storylines of well-loved Walford characters, Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell.

Clearly then the show’s writers will be keeping fans in suspense over which ending will play out onscreen…

However, it’s been widely reported that both Ronnie and Roxy are set to die, so if that is the case, then it just remains to be seen how they shuffle off the mortal coil.

But could their shocking deaths come on what should be the happiest day of Ronnie’s life?

Well, the Daily Star reports that actors Samantha Womack and Rita Simons – who of course play the roles of Ronnie and Roxy – have been spotted on location filming scenes for Ronnie and Jack Branning’s wedding…

Alongside them were Scott Maslen, who plays Jack, and Jamie Borthwick, who plays Jay Brown.

And in one scene, Jay and Ronnie are seen running in the grounds of the swanky estate where the wedding footage was filmed…

There’s no hint why the characters were legging it, but along with shots of other EastEnders cast members, the newspaper’s article adds, “All the Walford crew are on hand to help them celebrate their big day.

“But it seems things are going to take a turn for the worst.”

Rumour has it that an explosion will leave Ronnie and Roxy dead, and that that will happen in the New Year’s Eve episode of EastEnders…

However, as mentioned above, if multiple endings have been filmed, then obviously there are other options to facilitate Ronnie and Roxy’s departure.

But it seems that few, if any, of their cast-mates, both present and former, are happy that Sam and Rita have been written out of the long-running BBC serial drama…

And as we reported recently, Dame Barbara Windsor, who of course played the role of Mitchell family matriarch Peggy, was outraged when she found out that EastEnders boss Sean O’Connor had decided to axe the characters of Ronnie and Roxy.

Barbara told TV Biz, “It wasn’t the girls’ choice [to be written out].

“It’s the new producer’s decision.”

What do you think? Is it a mistake to have written out such popular characters?
