But there's clearly no animosity between chart rivals Rihanna and Katy Perry since the pop princesses were enjoying a girls' night out at OPUS nightclub in New York City on Saturday.

The 27-year-old Bajan beauty and the Roar hit-maker left the venue separately after a fun-filled evening on the town.

Rihanna looked pretty as a picture in a colourful gauze minidress, bearing a multicoloured pattern that made the most of her long legs.

The semi-sheer material showcased her bright pink slip as she headed home with her sidekick Melissa Forde in tow.

The singer topped off her look with neon stilettos featuring bright orange tassel detailing and colour-clashing purple lipstick.

Rihanna isn’t one to go unnoticed on her nights out. The Bajan beauty graced last night’s party with her colourful presence, so another vibrant outfit seemed a fitting choice.

The R&B hitmaker stunned in her sheer Jeremy Scott mini dress which featured a colourful graphic print and showed off RiRi’s incredible legs to full effect. And quite a lot of the rest of her, for that matter!

Katy and Rihanna were very close in the early years of their careers, but are said to have drifted apart, so it's good to see the superstars back together again.

The pair were alleged to have fallen out in 2013 when Rihanna got back together with Chris Brown after he was convicted of assaulting her, reportedly even asking to be seated away from her pal at the Grammys.
