Out with the new and in with the old

The Spring and Summer seasons have people running around like headless chickens trying to keep up with the latest trends and updating their dull winter wardrobes. We are so desperate to discover what’s hot and what’s not. However, you needn’t worry about unearthing all the new trends because every summer, the hottest trends are often the retro ones.

It would seem that this year the 70s are making a huge return to fashion after observing the catwalk shows of late. This nostalgic trip to the 70s will mark the return of suede coats and patchwork jackets not to mention high boots and some head turning psychedelic prints.

It looks like you may want to dig through your parents’ wardrobe for some flare jeans which are popular with a lot of the big name brands for the coming seasons. This was a big part of seventies fashion and you could pair these nicely with some platform heels to top the look off.

The 70s hippy look is also going to be popular this Spring/Summer and one woman who is constantly reviving this look is Poppy Delevingne who has been seen on numerous occasions wearing some very audacious colours in the true hippy style. Poppy is also a big fan of the round frame sunglasses that were so popular back in the 70s.8843456654?profile=original

So many celebrities are opting to don this classic silhouette which has previously been written off because of the speculation that surrounds it about face shape. This myth seems to have been overcome now and celebrities such as Poppy Delevingne, Lady Gaga and Beyoncé are proving that this look is nowhere near dead.8843456892?profile=original

The beauty of retro fashion making a comeback is that each and every designer has their own idea of what was good which gives the new retro collections a refreshing new twinge that allows people like Beyoncé to reinvent a trend that ignited a whole generation in the past.

Retro is the new black

The fashion world is constantly array with exciting new trends and breakthroughs in style but often it is the fashion that has gone before that makes the loudest bang.

As a generation we are invariably looking to the past, whether it be telling a story about an activity we once took part in or posting a “throw back Thursday” picture on Instagram or even learning about history in a museum it is human nature to look to the past for inspiration. This sentimental recollection of the past that plagues are lives is something that we can relate to and enjoy so it is no surprise that retro, as they say, is the new black.

It is safe to say that retro will undoubtedly be in this Summer so if you want to keep up with the likes of Lady Gaga and Johnny Depp then you should take a look at Red Hot Sunglasses collection to find the round lens sunnies your wardrobe craves.
