July 11, 2012 -- Kim Andrews, owner designer of Kids on Top, decided to do this project as the culmination of an ambitious summer of activity that included the re launching of a newly designed website (www.kidsontop.com) and the design and introduction of an adjustable scarf headband accessory to her product line. "I was so full of ideas and excitement for the direction my company was taking. I wanted to be able to follow through on these ideas so I decided to launch this campaign to enable me to move forward with my plans".
One of her ideas is to expand into specialty boutiques in other countries. "Im not so interested in mass producing my items to sell in big department stores. I love the idea of my designs being sold in unique shops in London, Milan or Barcelona.". She also has several new designs in the process of development. These items include:
-New hat styles including a knit snood and a girls trapper hat made in vibrant colors and prints.
-A line of beautiful neck pouches that are perfect for carrying cash or credit cards.
-A line of boho bags for a carefree way to grab what you need and go.
-A line of hand painted side bags. Each bag will be a one of a kind product that is washable and durable.
In addition to these goals, hiring a photographer for professional photos, and hiring local sewers to produce the items is also planned.
Kickstarter projects require that every campaign offer rewards for each pledge so Kids on Top is offering a wide variety of items for each tier of donations. The donation requests start as low as $15 and goes all the way to $500, but you can give any amount " I really had fun deciding what items to offer. Each item will be hand made and shipped for free so each pledge will definately be getting their moneys worth, while still helping me achieve my goal" This project deadline is July 18th, 2012 and the fundraising goal of $3000.
Kids on Top currently offers 5 hat styles, and scarf headbands for girls online at www.kidsontop.com.
