New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013 kicked off on September 6 and will end until the 13th. More than 50 designers collections have so far been showcased on the runway. My readers who know La Mode by GV Miao well should probably notice that I used to keep an eye on Vivienne Tam and Anna Sui's shows only for New York Fashion Week review. But starting from Spring/Summer 2013, I'm adding the Japanese designer Tadashi Shogi to my favorite list, and I feel like I am obligated to share with the world his heavenly beautiful designs. Looking at Shogi's Chinese paper-cutting art inspired collection, I can't help but praise God for making such a designer who has a masterful sense of color, exquisite craftsmanship and a passion for intricate details and mixing the textures of fabrics as Shogi. His signature use of lace has developed an east meets west style which brings western elegance into oriental art.
