Cork model Clara McSweeney leads the pack at New York Bridal Fashion Week

A fresh-faced Irish model was the talk New York's Bridal Market this weekend as she led the fashion pack in the most stylish wedding dresses from boho brides' favourite Jenny Packham.

Clara McSweeney, from Macroom in Cork, was discovered by Irish agency Andrea Roche during a "modelling bootcamp" event and at just 15 years old moved to the Big Apple to try her hand in one of the world's most notoriously tough industries.

The striking redhead was signed by IMG models, the US agency representing Gigi Hadid and Gisele, in 2015 and made an impact on the fashion world almost immediately.

Making her debut at Bridal Fashion Week that same year, the versatile beauty walked the runway for designer Naeem Khan, the designer recognised by most for Kate Middleton's blue and white 'Taj Mahal' dress and some of the more colourful dresses from the wardrobe of former First Lady Michelle Obama.

Clara is a former 'face of' Irish jewellery designer Newbridge Silverware, and cut her teeth in campaigns for Littlewoods Ireland and boohoo.com. She is currently signed by Next Management in New York, who count British actress and model Suki Waterhouse among many other fresh faces in fashion on their books.
