My Travel Diary to Hawaii

8843725893?profile=originalAloha and a very happy Wednesday to all of you!!

Finally, I am back from my week long trip from Hawaii and it is time for me to share my experience with you lovely people. The experience was not only marvelous but so soothing and rejuvenating that I would want to go back and get lost there time and again.

Hawaii being a huge place, this trip was the one which I covered on this trip. Maui is the second largest island with some of the most breathtaking beaches of the world. Why did I choose Maui at first because it has been voted the “Best Island” according to Conde Nest?

Well, without much ado and introduction, let me list out my experiences with the various spots that I covered and my experiences related to them.

We took the road to Hana

We were suggested that the first thing to do is have a closer look at the coastline of Maui which definitely turned out to be one of the best things we did. The scenic highway gives the best of a lot of worlds from the lush rainforest and the cascading waterfalls. All you got do is drive safe because of the sudden twists and turns that can be a little dangerous but tourists who take the risk are the ones with memorable experiences- just like us! You can spend a half day to the entire day by stopping and sightseeing God’s own creation to the best.

It was time to explore the Haleakalā National Park

While reading about Maui, I got to know that the island is made up of two volcanoes, Haleakalā & Mauna Kahalawai. Haleakalā being the massive one which forms more than 75% of Maui, we could clearly see the peak which stands at 10,023 feet. Being a tough name to pronounce, Haleakalā means house of the sun and is a very popular place to catch the sunrise (or stars, or sunset, or pretty much any breathtaking view). It is now the National Park which about 30,000 acres of land. It was a long long drive and didn’t realize when we started to go down the mouth of the volcano. It was the perfect time to document the scenic beauty that we’ll surely cherish for the rest of our lives.

Though we were starving (had to rush to get the right spot to watch the sun come up) and left quickly to feed ourselves some good food. Later we shed out outfits and grabbed my men’s swimwear to relax at the beach and soak up some sun.

I have always been a fan of Luau and my partner made sure we visited there once. We drove to that place and it was a heavenly experience. We tried a variety of cuisine from the “Laulau – Lu’au leaf wrapped pork” which is succulent bundles of pork wrapped in taro leaf, chef’s special “I’a - Maui Style Fish”, kalua pua'a- pork roasted in an underground oven, fresh mahi-mahi and poi which is mashed taro plant. It was fab service and lip-smacking food that will be remembered by me for a long long time.

This time we had less time to and a lot to explore, but I promise to go back and bring back more memories of Maui (Oahu too) for you all.
