Meet Nyakim Gatwech, a 24 year old model from South Sudan that have been nicknamed by the web “Queen of the Dark’. She reaches fame over social media, especially on Instagram, with her incredible dark complexion. Indeed, the young model embrasses her moonshine dark skin in an age where people go after whitening creams and dangerous skin brightening process. The web soon started to nickname her “Queen of Dark” and she proves to the world that beauty comes in all shades.
Now relocated to Minneapolis for her career, she sends out through her Instagram account that now reaches over 111k followers, a message as strong as it is beautiful, promoting self-acceptance and skin positivity. More than her incredible pictures, she also posts inspirational messages to women who are struggling to be comfortable in their own skin.
