Mariah Carey's Brussels Concert in Limbo, 'Batman v Superman' London Premiere Will Go On Following

As Mariah Carey's Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour continues to roll through Europe, the singer is scheduled to perform at Brussels' Forest National venue on Sunday.

But in the wake of Tuesday's deadly explosions within the city, it is unclear whether the Belgian government will allow Carey's show to go on.

Though her performance has not yet been canceled, other events around the city are beginning to shut down. Wednesday's scheduled performance by Italian singer-songwriter Edoardo Bennato at Royal Circus was canceled on Tuesday, as was the Belgium soccer team's Tuesday practice session.

Among the other mainstream music acts scheduled to take the stage over the next week are Jess Glynne (scheduled to perform at Botanique on Friday) and The 1975 (scheduled for The Japanese House next Wednesday).

Meanwhile, Warner Bros. has decided to move forward with Tuesday's London premiere of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, though the stars will not engage in the usual red carpet festivities.

"Our hearts go out to the victims of recent terrorist attacks, their families and the communities impacted around the world," a studio-issued statement reads. "Rather than yield to terror, we've decided to join the film's fans and move forward with the London premiere of Batman v Superman this evening."

At least 31 people have been confirmed dead after terrorists attacked a subway station and airport in Brussels at around 8 a.m. local time on Tuesday. Two explosions, at least one of which officials believe to have come from a suicide bomber, were set off inside the city's main international airport and a third went off at the city's Maelbeek metro station.

All flights and public transportation in the city have been shut down for the day, while French Prime Minister Manuel Valls told the AP: "We are at war. We have been subjected for the last few months in Europe to acts of war."
