Margot Mace studied at the Academy of Arts with a Masters in Design ARTEZ alongside the fashion greats Viktor and Rolf. Her art work and illustrations have been exhibited internationally.
Margot Mace’s illustration is inspired by traditional Japanese techniques. This influence in her work began 15 years ago when she visited the country and worked on a fashion illustration commission that snowballed into a multitude of clients and editorial work. She has created illustrations for three ongoing columns in L’Officiel Japan for several years, translating her vision of female beauty and Japanese celebrities. She has worked with Vogue Japan since 2010 creating a monthly double page beauty illustration column called, Jan Says.
