Man Plans A Lavish Wedding For 100 Poor Girls While His Son Has A Simple Ceremony

In a world where people spend crores on marrying their only son or daughter, this man has made a grand gesture.

Gopal Vastapara, a real estate developer from Surat, is planning to get 100 girls, from not so well to do families, married in a lavish ceremony on 28th April.

His 100 ‘daughters’ are from socially or economically backward families residing in different districts of Amreli and Rajkot. The ceremony will be held in Chamardi, Vastapara’s native village.

This 51-year old man, kept his son’s marriage a low key affair, with only 300 guests to save for this mass marriage.

To which Vastapara said, “We decided to get our son married in a very simple function and instead use the money to help 100 girls from poor families by arranging their marriages. Our moto is Sarva Dharam, Sarva Samaj. The girls who will get married are from various castes and include six Muslims too,”.

But his generosity doesn’t end there, he’s asked the girls and their grooms to invite as many guests as they like.

The marriage so far has a guest count of 60,000 and Vastapara is only too happy to pay for it. Not only that, He’s also going to help his girls set up their marital house, “We will provide all the household belongings required to start a new life. I consider all of them my daughters,” said Vastapara.

The stipulates cost for this lavish affair is close to 3 crore and he’s all set to sponsor mass marriages for the next 10 years

Not only is he doing good for these families but he’s spreading his goodness to the newly families, the couples are all set to take a pledge to ‘Save the environment’ and ‘Save the girl child’.
