Making Your Wedding Fashionable and Simple

Your wedding day is one of the most memorable days of your life. From the wedding guests and the colors that are used, each decision is between you and your future spouse, making the day special. You can achieve a simple wedding that is elegant and beautiful, even while on a budget, if you follow a few simple tips.

Peak Season

Avoid having the ceremony during the peak wedding season. This would be the spring and summer months. Florists and catering companies will be busy, and it might cost more to book a company during this time. January and February as well as October and November are ideal months to have a wedding as some companies will lower prices in order to gain business from coupes who are getting married.

Decorations

Instead of using the latest in decorating trends, make a lot of the items yourself, or use fresh supplies that can be used again for the reception. Flowers can be picked from a garden instead of ordered from a florist. Candles with colorful ribbons can be used for decorations on the reception tables and on the windowsills in the church. The decorations don't have to cost a lot of money, either, as you can get the items you need on clearance at a craft store or at a second hand store.

Transportation

If you know someone who has a farm, consider a horse-drawn carriage taking you from your home to the church. Another option is a limo. This is an idea for getting from the church to the airport or the honeymoon location so that you don't have to leave your car while you're gone. Professionals, like those at LAX Car Service, know that being on time for your flight should be the least of your worries. This also gives you a few moments to spend with your new spouse away from the hustle and bustle of the reception.

Borrow What You Need

From the dress to the decorations, borrow as much as possible. Although you might want your own unique dress, if it's not something you plan on keeping, consider renting one or using a friend's. When it comes to the supplies used at the reception, borrow a few tablecloths and cooking utensils, and enlist family and friends to help with the food served so that you don't have to hire a caterer.

While some people might spend thousands of dollars on a wedding, you can have something just as meaningful and simple with less money involved. With the help of family and friends and a little invention, you can have a beautiful ceremony with all of the components of a large extravaganza without all of the stress that is often involved. Remember that it's about joining with someone you love and not the materials present.
