Making of SHIATZY CHEN Fall/Winter 2012 advertising campaign (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVr3tlT9Gi0&feature=youtu.be):
What happens when the almost extinct Miao Zu (a Chinese ethnic minority group) ethnic embroidery meets the prestigious British photographer Sharif Hamza and French It girl and stylist Melanie Huynh?

The fabulous outcome was the modern yet exotic Shiatzy Chen Fall/Winter advertising campaign which emphasized the element of East meets West as usual, meaning that the exquisite collection inspired by Miao handmade embroidery named “Weaving a Dream” (zhi yun) was interpreted through the lens of a western photographer and a stylist, and the chemistry worked out amazingly well.
Now you know why Shiatzy Chen always wins my heart, long live modern Chinese chic!
