Make-Up Is The Price Worth the Product?

I have always been a devoted Sephora and Department Store cosmetic consumer however, my planned move to London in May has given me a really good reason to cut back. In review of my budget I found an area that I may be going overboard .... Cosmetics and Skincare. I'm 21 and always getting compliments on my skins clarity yet I still feel the need to have the best. To be honest I can't remember the last time I went into Sephora and spent less then $100 (the beauty rewards gifts always get me to spend). With that hundred dollars I usually get about three items which are gone before I can even afford to pay the credit card bill. After the holidays with money burning a hole in my pocket and my make-up bag lacking I was ready to hit the mall but, I stopped myself. I went into the kitchen and grabbed the coupon box which although full I never use. Amongst millions of manufactures coupons I found at least 50 money saving offers for make-up and skincare and drove to Target. Target seemed my ritziest option and I wasn't about to degrade myself to Wal-Mart (I feel the company ruined America). In all I got about 15 products, everything from lip gloss to face creams the total was about $125. Driving home I was already freaking out, wondering how my skin would ever look good without my Dior skin cream and Nars foundation. Almost 3 weeks later and my skin has remained beautiful with only the help of L'Oreal and Olay skin products. Honestly, I am shocked and angry with the money I could have saved and more importantly the clothes I could have owned! The only downfall is that no one is jealous of my make-up collection anymore. That hurts but I feel that my look hasn't changed and I am learning to shop more within my college student means. Hopefully, I can keep this up and eat when I move to London!
