But Kelly Brook has proved that she's losing weight from all the right places, wearing a flirty little dress to highlight her famously ample cleavage as she stepped out for a spot of shopping in Los Angeles on Monday.
The 35-year-old beauty was accompanied by her 'roomie' Natalie Loren, as she made her way around a couple of shops, revealing her slender but still impressively shapely curves in her appealing frock.
Kelly showed off her slimline figure and hourglass shape in the red, white and blue printed dress, which featured a very low-cut neckline to reveal a glimpse of her famous chest.
The fitted waistline of the A-line skirted dress also gave her a chance to reveal her slimmed-down midriff, which has recently reduced by three inches since she took up her new year diet and exercise regime.
Keeping her daytime look relatively simple, she wore a pair of nude laser-cut heeled shoes to elongate her pins even further, while keeping her brunette tresses tied up high on her head in an comfortable style.
While she looked around a couple of shops - including Niketown and the Apple store - Kelly was the target of some friendly flirting by nearby male shoppers.
However, she took the banter in her stride and laughed it off as she reacted to the men's advances.
Although she seemed to be enjoying her day off, her retail therapy session left her empty-handed as she walked away from the shops without a purchase.
Her happiness couldn't be ignored as she meandered around the shopping precinct in the Californian city with her friend by her side: this could be down to the fact she's rumoured to have a new man in her life.
After her tumultuous relationship with on-off ex-fiance David McIntosh came to an end, Kelly has been notably single and seemingly happy to mingle.
But now she is alleged to have found romance again in the form of handsome model James Lee Taylor, who she is said to have met back in November on the set of a Sketchers shoe advert.
The chiselled hunk has been posting pictures of Kelly on his Twitter account since the pair first met two months ago.
The pair are said to have been seeing a lot of each other in recent weeks since former Valentino and Calvin Klein model James - who hails from Essex - is also based in LA, where Kelly now lives while working on her new US sitcom One Big Happy.

As well as her love life potentially going in the right direction, Kelly is also thrilled at how well her current slim-down attempt is going.
She was recently revealed as the new face of the Atkins diet plan, and has since lost a rather sizeable amount of weight, and has been showing off her increasingly slender frame across her Instagram and Twitter pages.
Ahead of a recent appearance at a pre-SAG Awards bash, the British stunner revealed that - thanks to her low-carb diet and rigorous training - she has already lost three inches from around her waistline.
And she hasn't been shy about sharing her pre and post-gym selfies, each time showing off her ample chest and slender physique while sporting a fresh exercise glow.
