Katy Perry released her "Unconditionally" video yesterday and I must say it isn't a side of her that we see too often! This is the second single from her album "Prism." Perry shows off her high end fashion in beautiful gowns and pearls while her dressed up dancers prance around her outside in the snow and in a ballroom.
We are used to the 'chic' persona that Perry is so good at portraying! For those of you that love that side of her, this video does not showcase the vibrant wigs and cupcake bras, sorry. It shows more of a vulnerable side of Perry, with the scenery being what appears to be in some what of a fairy land.
With Snowflakes falling as the video starts, Perry is crouched down in a white lace Chanel pre-fall 2013 dress highlighted with pearls down her neck. She's seen wearing a green Dolce & Gabbana dress bedazzled with jems and I must say that gown looked flawless on her! The orange brocade you see her wearing is suspected to a Wes Gordon number from this years autumn/winter 2013 collection. She spiced that one up with some large sized Dolce cross earrings from the 2013 autumn show!
Dolce & Gabbana seem to be Perry's recent interest in high fashion, being that she showcased a variety of looks on the Smurfs 2 promo tour and then again at the 2013 punk inspired Met Gala!
Perry explained her thoughts on the video and it looks like the bombshell did exactly what she set out to do in, “It doesn’t have a complete narrative. I do that all the time; I usually have quite a big story line…. This time I wanted to give a lot of gorgeous, beautiful looks, which I don’t usually go for. But it’s mostly just a beautiful video that is supposed to evoke this power of love,” she told MTV.
She debuted the song LIVE at the EMA's, lots are questioning if she will do it again this weekend at the American Music Award when she opens the show? Watch her new video "Unconditionally" below and tell us what you think?
