Kate Middleton Is Exchanging Fashion Notes with Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle is gearing up for royal life, but she’s not going it alone. Per a report from Entertainment Tonight, Kate Middleton is already getting Markle set with all the sartorial advice she will need for her new royal life.

“She has provided Meghan with names of some of the favorite U.K. go-to designers on everything from dresses, coats, and the all-important British hat,” a source told E.T.

This means Markle might be soon favoring Alexander McQueen, L.K. Bennet, and Erdem, just like Kate—or should the day ever come—jump on that blue maternity trend.

As we’ve previously noted in this space, judging by her wedding choices thus far, Markle is going to do things her own way. For example, she and Harry have chosen a trendy London pastry chef to make their wedding dessert, instead of the traditional fruitcake served at royal weddings.

No matter how she might vary from royal tradition, E.T. reports that Markle, like Kate, will still give the occasional nod to her husband’s late mother, Princess Diana, so bring on more berets and houndstooth suits.
