Kanye West Nike Air Yeezy sneakers : Saturday May 2nd 2009 Release

Yesterday morning around 9:00AM, I saw a handful of people waiting outside a Foot Locker on West 34th Street. They were sitting on lawn chairs, so I assumed they were waiting for some sort of special promotion. Amazing that people will sit around for several hours to get a free give away or purchase a new shoe style. Today I walked by and I see that they are still waiting... Wow, they are not waiting around for a few hours. They are waiting for "days". I saw them there Thursday morning (not sure if they had been there before that), and the line is now growing. I have just now searched online to find out why they are waiting. It appears that they are waiting for a Kanye West's latest Nike Air Yeezy sneakers. The shoe technically gets released at 6:00AM Saturday (the people I saw Thursday morning, are waiting at least two full days). Although I can understand the excitement, I do not think my mind can wrap itself around a two day camp out for a pair of sneakers. Anyway, anything that brings excitement to the fashion industry is a good thing... By the way, I read that their is no guarantee that this particular store location will even have any of the sneakers... Note: I believe the image posted is a Kanye West's Nike Air Yeezy. However, I am really not sure if this is the new one or an older model. I am really not that trendy to know the difference.
