Is Streetwear The Biggest Fashion

What happened in the fashion industry lately is definitely related to the fact that the entire thing is moving towards the streetwear field. This happened due to the fact that many indie designers, such as Virgil Abloh, took over high-level ones, such as Riccardo Tisci, who recently admitted in an interview that the entire streetwear industry is incredibly interesting and destined to remain in the future. With that in mind, let's break down what are the most successful brands and industry within the field.

OFF-White As A Concept

Abloh's very own brand is definitely the brightest example of the entire matter, given the fact that the brand was launched after the very successful Pyrex Vision. Abloh became famous given the fact that he was Kanye West's previous creative director, which automatically created hype around him when he stepped into the fashion industry.

Gymwear Meets Streetwear

When it comes to streetwear, it's pretty clear that the entire design structure naturally comes from gym wear inspired pieces or athleisure wear in general. This is due to the fact that almost every single brand in the field started by printing their designs on Nike, Adidas or similar.

Shoes, The Yeezys Takeover

Streetwear and Kanye West seem to go hand in hand: Kanye definitely has a peculiar fashion touch and he decided to boost it by using his marketing skills. Yeezys are, in fact, the perfect example of the above-mentioned statement: not only they've been called out for being poor quality shoes, but also for their incredibly high reselling price, which is why many stepped away from the brand. With that being said, we must still acknowledge the fact that Yeezys as a brand is probably still the biggest pair of shoes available on the market.

Accessories, Supreme And The "Limited Edition" Power

Supreme is a brand that needs no introductions, especially after all the big collaborations with brands such as Louis Vuitton and similar. Supreme, especially when it comes to accessories, is definitely a titan within the industry, due to the fact that they've always released products under the "limited edition" label, a strategy that attracted way too many clients, leading the brand to the status of "highest reselling fashion brand ever". With that being said, it's important to state the fact that this business model has been used by many other brands that wanted to follow Supreme's development and directions, which is a confirmation of the fact that the brand is definitely a leading player within the industry.
