Q: What inspired your current swimsuit collection?

Leticia: The street art in Venice Beach,CA.

Q: Do you do one-piece swimsuits or are you following the trend of returning to the bikini era?

Leticia: I have my version of the one piece in the "Carmen" style. It's super sexy and fun. I will always try to offer a one-piece per collection.

Q: Are tankinis out this year?

Leticia: Not a huge fan of the tankini; never have been, never will be ;)

Q: What are your thoughts on the return to 80s swim suits?

Leticia: If you see some of my color choices for the season you will see a huge influence of the 80's colors. Bright! Did you see my neon fruit? Can we get more 80s than that? I grew up in the 80s, so i think there will always be a nod to 80s in what I do.

Q: How do you find creating swim suits for an American audience different from an Argentinian audience?

Leticia: Argentinean women love to show off their bodies, especially their booties :) I feel like American women should show their booties off more too. The less fabric in the butt the better it's going too look. And I'm not talking about a thong, but if you have smaller coverage, it gives the illusion of your behind being slimmer. Trust me, i have converted even the biggest skeptic.

Q: Trends: As a designer do you like them or do they pigeon-hold you in what you can create?

Leticia: Yes, I try not to follow trends too much, I try to influence them.
