Increasing the fashion market through blog advertising

I am currently working on a research project for one of my classes. My focus is how fashion blogs increase advertising and marketing of current fashion trends, including clothes, shoes, and accessories.I was just trying to get an input on what everyone thinks about this new trend and also if you think it is successful.please share your ideas.
